The American Association of Breast Care Professionals is asking for your participation...


The O&P EDGE, a strong supporter of AABCP and post mastectomy information,  has launched its 2013 Salary Survey for orthotic, prosthetic, pedorthic, and post-mastectomy professionals who work in the United States.

UPDATE! Jurisdiction D Widespread review of L8030 Announced

UPDATE! Jurisdiction D DME MAC Widespread Complex Review of External Breast Prostheses (HCPCS L8030) First Quarter 2013 results

On May 3rd, 2013 Jurisdiction D DME MAC Medical Review Department updated its 2013 first quarter report on its ongoing widespread complex review of HCPCS codes L8030. This review was initiated due to data obtained during results of Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) analysis of the code. L8030 is the code for the silicone external breast prosthesis.

The Jurisdiction D DME MAC Medical Review Department review involved 317 claims of which 219 were denied. This resulted in an overall error rate of 68%.
